The ufologist and painter Gildas Bourdais has left us (1939-2024) Born in Nantes on 13 June 1939, Gildas Bourdais had a brilliant career in art from 1967 to the turn of the 1990s, exhibiting his work in prestigious galleries. In 1990, he published a landmark book entitled ‘Les Modernes et les Autres. One hundred years of modern art in the world'. In the mid-90s, he changed direction, devoting himself to writing books on ufology that have become indispensable, particularly on the case of the Roswell crash, in which he became the French specialist. His work in popularising Roswell and UFOs in general was widely acclaimed throughout the French-speaking world. Gildas Bourdais retired to Courbevoie and continued to exhibit until 2023. He passed away on 25 September 2024.
